It's quite simple...
Every young Muslim deserves a mentor
Please read the letter below and click the button to learn more about our up and coming mentoring programme for teenagers and young adults, launching in Summer 2024.
Dear beloved brothers and sisters,
We cannot ignore the alarming challenges our young people are facing in today's world.
The youth of the 21st century are grappling with an array of complex issues, including a lack of connection with Allah, unhealthy usage of technology, rebelliousness, confusion, anxiety, depression, and exposure to harmful influences such as drugs and crime. As religious individuals, we must be deeply troubled by the thought of our children & youth straying from their faith or facing mental health struggles alone.
Most of the suggested ‘solutions’ to challenges faced by our youth are reactionary: when things get really bad, concerned adults normally reach out for help, often by the time it’s too late.
We need to stop being reactive!
It’s time we become proactive in helping our youth navigate challenging times. And to be clear, we have all the tools in our deen and a perfect example of how to engage with young people in our beloved Messenger (saws). But for many youngsters something is missing.
The way that the Messenger (saws) supported youngsters was not a transactional training relationship. He (sws) mentored the young Sahaabah and developed lasting relationships with them. This is the same tarbiya (nurturing) approach applied by the Sahaabah, and generations of Muslims since. It is a proven success formula. This is exactly what many of our youngsters need: a trustworthy mentor, knowledgeable in the Quran and their deen, who they can show them the path to Allah, teach them key life lessons and maintain a long-term relationship with them, and… someone they can safely turn to with their most silly/scary questions.
Unfortunately, not all of us or our youngsters have access to a mentor like this, but we should and we can.
Muslim Mentors is a new initiative we are launching to:
provide Hope and Guidance for Our Youth
At Muslim Mentors, we believe that every young person deserves a nurturing and supportive environment to thrive. Our organisation is dedicated to providing mentorship programmes that offer guidance, support, and spiritual counsel to young people in need. We understand the importance of addressing these issues proactively, rather than waiting for a crisis to occur.
In this time of uncertainty and turmoil, let us come together as a community of faith to support our young people and provide them with the guidance they need to navigate life’s challenges. Your donation, no matter the amount, will make a significant impact on the lives of our youth and help ensure a brighter future for all. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our young people and ensure that they have the support they need to thrive spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and socially.
